I am Abby Silver of Silver Design, and I have been designing for over 20 years.
In those 20 years, alot has changed in the design industry. Thankfully, press-type, rubylith and photostats are a thing of the past, while Apple, Pantone and Adobe have endured.
I am thankful that I received my training back when we still used drafting tables. My best ideas today are still the ones I sketch on paper first. Learning new technology is an
on-going challenge for all designers, but creativity is born in our heads before it is
born on our screens.
